This test provides information regarding antibodies against SARS CoV2 spike protein in an individual. It is not a diagnostic test and should not be used to check infectivity of a person. The test results give information regarding past infection with SARS CoV2. IgG Antibodies against spike protein are expected to be detected between 14 to 21 days from the time of infection. The specificity and sensitivity of the assay depends on the prevalence of the disease. The quantitative values expressed in the report pertain to the kit used for testing and should not be compared with results from other test kits.
