HIV-1 RNA detection was performed using NucliSENS Easy Q Real-time NASBA (US FDA Approved) platform. The test is performed using primers and fluorescent labeled probes specific for HIV-1 along with appropriate controls for the assay. The lower detection limit of this test is 20 copies/ml. This test is highly specific for HIV-1 subtypes. The test has been validated at the Precision Diagnostics. The Laboratory report must be interpreted in correlation with the clinical profile of the patient. - IU = International Unit: 1 IU = 1 RNA copy - Lineairty (Detection Limits) of the assay is 20 to 2000000 copies/ml
