ANTI NUCLEAR ANTIBODY ( ANA ) - ELISA
  • Overview

The Anti-Nuclear Antibody (ANA) - ELISA test detects antibodies that target the nuclei of cells, which are often present in autoimmune disorders. ANA testing is commonly used as a screening tool to help diagnose conditions like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, and other autoimmune diseases.

Preparation: No special preparation or fasting is required. Inform your healthcare provider of any medications you are taking, as some may affect the results.

Procedure: A blood sample is drawn from a vein, typically in the arm.
