TORCH PROFILE
  • Overview

A TORCH profile is group of blood tests to screen infection in fetus as well as in mother. This panel detects for viral and parasitic infections in pregnant women. During pregnancy, there are high chances of passing these infections from mother to the fetus through the placenta. Our TORCH ALL TEN profile includes blood tests for cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus I & II, Rubella and Toxoplasma gondii.

**Test Preparation:**

- **No fasting is required.** 

- You can eat and drink normally before the test.

- **No medication restrictions,** but inform your healthcare provider of any medications you are taking. 

- **Stay hydrated** to make the blood draw easier.
