
The Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibody (ATG) test measures the level of antibodies against thyroglobulin, a protein produced by the thyroid gland. This test is commonly used to help diagnose and monitor autoimmune thyroid disorders such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves’ disease.
Preparation: No special preparation or fasting is required
Procedure: A blood sample is drawn from a vein, usually in the arm.
