  • Overview

The Apolipoprotein A1 (Apo A1) test measures the levels of Apo A1, a major protein component of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), often referred to as "good cholesterol." This test helps assess cardiovascular risk and the body's ability to remove excess cholesterol from tissues, thus protecting against heart disease.

Preparation: No special preparation or fasting is generally required, 

Procedure: A blood sample is drawn from a vein, typically in the arm.
