The Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) IgG Antibody test detects the presence of IgG antibodies against H. pylori, a bacteria associated with peptic ulcers, gastritis, and stomach cancer. This test helps diagnose a current or past infection but cannot distinguish between active and past infections on its own.
