The Immunoglobulin G (IgG) test measures the level of IgG antibodies in the blood, which are crucial for long-term immunity and protection against infections. IgG is the most abundant antibody type in the body, playing a key role in identifying and neutralizing pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. This test is used to evaluate immune function, detect immune deficiencies, and monitor chronic infections or autoimmune disorders.

Preparation: No special preparation or fasting is required.

Procedure: A blood sample is drawn from a vein, usually in the arm.
