Description:

The Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) test measures the level of LDH, an enzyme found in nearly all body tissues, including the heart, liver, kidneys, muscles, and blood cells. LDH is released into the bloodstream when cells are damaged or destroyed, making it a useful marker for tissue damage or disease.
